About Mallitalytics
Mallitalytics is my way of following baseball curiosity all the way through: from a question, to the data, to an explanation that gives a fan something new to notice.

How the project started.
I'm Gilberto, a 27-year-old Dominican American and a chemical engineer by profession. Sports have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and baseball was always close: I grew up between two countries with deep baseball cultures.
Fantasy baseball changed the way I watched the game. I started playing in 2018 and quickly became absorbed in sabermetrics: not just what happened, but why it happened and which signals could tell us what to watch next. Later, pursuing a master's in data science and deep learning gave me the tools to turn that curiosity into something I could build and share.
Mallitalytics began after I returned from Madrid to the Dominican Republic in 2025. It moved slowly at first. I spent the early months experimenting before coverage of the Dominican Winter League gave the project its rhythm and public voice. From there, I moved into MLB. The 2026 season is my first full MLB season doing this work.
This remains a personal, independent project. I'm building it in public because I care deeply about baseball analysis and because the game becomes more interesting when we look closely enough to see what the usual summary leaves out.

A daily baseball product.
Mallitalytics brings together MLB schedules, starter projections, completed-game reports, season profiles, and original analysis. Readers can follow the daily slate, compare starter projections, explore player cards, and read stories. Methodology explains the data sources, workflow, and measures used on the site.
The project uses MLB game feeds and Statcast information. MalliScore, the analysis, and the visual reports are Mallitalytics work. Projections are estimates, source information can change, and Mallitalytics is not a betting service.
